Our first erotic gay music video came from the desire to express some of the sexual integration experiences we were having. When we first got married, we shoved our sexualities into a box and only opened them with each other. But that’s a lot of pressure for one man to put on another man. We stopped talking to other men about sex and only expressed ourselves sexually in private. A sort of hideous shame enveloped us. We rarely talked to other men about what turned us on.
Having been very sexually open and free before I got married, I have no idea why I stopped being that way. Our marriage, as gay as it is, was definitely not traditional. We didn’t know we could design it the way we wanted to. We didn’t want an open marriage, but we wanted to be open WITHIN our marriage. Today, both my husband and I talk about sex and sexuality with other men openly and honestly. There’s no jealousy, fear or envy. We have successfully transformed our relationship from an ego-based prison into a spiritual partnership. We call it a BROHOOD. And it really works for us. We’re best friends and also lovers. And we like to having lots of other brothers around us.
The TOUCH Music Video
After experimenting with AI in the creation of music videos for YOU WANT TO BE ENLIGHTENED and NO ONE EXISTS BUT YOU, we wanted to make more. I was taking old pictures of me and animating them with Grok. And one of the pictures I animated was very sexual. I didn’t prompt it to be sexual, it just was. So I generated more.
I hadn’t seen myself be sexual like that in a long time. It looked like an old sex tape that I had forgotten about. At the time, we considered it merely a curiousity and didn’t think we’d ever do anything with it. But we had the idea to make a sex song and make an AI video for it. TOUCH was that song and it felt so good to be singing about all the things we had repressed. The music video incorporates symbols that I really didn’t understand at the time or why I was including them. But soon I discovered that I was working out my psychosexual issues by making this video.
I had stopped thinking of myself as a sexual being and it had led to chronic health conditions and lots of unexpressed anger. Men need to be seen to heal and in making this video, I not only helped myself heal, but also encouraged other men to explore their sexuality in a way that is right for them. Not every man needs to make a gay erotic music video to heal, but I sure did. I discovered that sexuality is not separate from life and for men who put their sexuality in a box like I did, sickness and suffering is sure to follow.
We posted it on YouTube and our friends and family had a very strong reaction. We were told we were ruining our music career (what music career?) and that we would regret it. And to stop making this type of music immediately. A very few of our personal friends thought it was freeing and amazing. There are people who no longer speak to us because of this video. But this video kicked off a whole new era of healing, growth and development. It also brought us a ton of brand new fans.
It eventually led to our creative renaissance and we finally found our niche after years of searching.
